When we started developing BI4Dynamics NAV, we wanted to make it affordable and scalable for companies of any size that use Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

With this in mind, we managed to get big companies and also satisfy all smaller ones which cannot afford an expensive data warehouse development and building Business Intelligence solution from scratch.

Among our clients are small-sized companies with less than 10 employees and also large international enterprises.

How It All Began?

The Reason: Reporting Gap Between ERP and BI Systems

We have been implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) for more than 12 years. And although most of the information analysts and managers are looking for is captured in Navision, there is still a substantial usability gap, the information is not easily accessible, not in a meaningful format, and is difficult to relate across departments and organizations.

The reason is that Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a system that is optimized to meet transactional needs > to enable high volumes of data entry and processing, because businesses can't afford to have, i.e. order entry slowed down by poor performance.The system architecture built for transactional efficiency is a huge impediment to users who want to get access to the data for reporting and analysis.

The bottom line is that transaction systems and reporting systems represent two completely different workload types and a single system cannot be designed to optimize both of these workloads. Reporting and analysis using an operational system does not work effectively.

That was the main reason, why we started developing BI4Dynamics NAV. Today BI4Dynamics NAV overcomes this gap with a fast, complete, and cost effective approach to delivering integrated, insightful information to business users in their desired format.

Standardization

One of the most interested findings we realized after 10th Business Intelligence project for Microsoft Dynamics NAV was that there were around 80 % of business requirements the same in all projects, regardless of the customer's industry.

Our Head of BI came with a great challenge - to develop a standardized out-of-the-box Business Intelligence solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. At beginning we were all a little skeptical, but after next few projects we were all convinced that we can do it.

Today we are proud to present BI4Dynamics NAV, a solution that can be simply deployed by installation wizard that builds up the entire data warehouse in Microsoft SQL Server with business models for GL, Sales & Receivables, Purchase & Payables and Inventory application areas and deploys OLAP cubes in Microsoft Analysis Services. When connecting prebuilt reports in some of the most used BI front-end tools (e.g. MS Excel, PerformancePoint) with OLAP cubes, you get complete BI solution in only a few hours.

No Language Limitations

Having in mind that BI4Dynamics NAV will be marketed worldwide, our solution is designed to be easily localized to any language. Today more then 10 languages are already supported by wizard installation.
