Structure

BI4Dynamics NAV is a complete business intelligence solution on a Microsoft platform that includes:

Deployment wizard. Data warehouse. ETL processes to transform and load data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV database to its data warehouse. OLAP cubes. Automatic procedures for daily updates. Prebuilt reports in some of the most used BI front-end tools (Microsoft Excel, Cognos, PerformancePoint, TargIT).

Customization

BI4Dynamics NAV is opened for modifications (functionality and new transactional sources) and enables modular adding by fields of interest. Our team will provide customer tailored training made for specific customization needs.

Database Support

BI4Dynamics NAV supports both databases: Microsoft Dynamics NAV native database and Microsoft SQL Server database. Export of data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV native database goes through text files. Two additional code units for data export have to be imported into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Automation is done through Microsoft DynamicsNAV application server.

We also provide future development and experience from different front-end BI tools.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Versions

Different versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV are supported. Out-of-the-box solution can be installed from version 3.10 and up. For older versions the solution needs to be customized. We have deployed BI4Dynamics NAV on all versions starting from Navision Financials 2.01.

All future Microsoft Dynamics NAV versions will be supported.

Installation

Installation wizard builds up the entire data warehouse in Microsoft SQL Server and deploys OLAP cubes in Microsoft Analysis Services. Properties are entered during installation with actual parameters, e.g. database name, server name, language, etc.

Localization

BI4Dynamics NAV uses UNICODE character set for data warehouse and meta data model of OLAP cubes. With this approach data in any language can be supplied to data warehouse for analysis and reporting.

We have also developed administration module to import new captions of meta data model, so that every measure and dimension attribute in OLAP cube can be translated in any language or modified to suite business language of any user.
