A data warehouse

Transactional (ERP) systems and analytical (BI) systems represent two completely different database workload types. A single system cannot be optimized for both workloads. ERP reporting doesn't work effectively.

Data warehouse is a heart of our solution. BI experts see it as the best infrastructure for BI initiatives. Data warehouse is tuned specifically to perform data analysis and provides integration of disparate and historic information that can be analyzed from virtually any perspective.

Structure  Deployment wizard. Data warehouse. ETL processes to transform and load data from NAV database to its data warehouse. OLAP cubes. Automatic procedures for daily updates. Prebuilt reports in some of the most used BI front-end tools.

Database and Microsoft Dynamics NAV version support

• MS SQL Server database (2005, 2008)
• MS Dynamics NAV native database; 2 codeunits export data, NAV application server does automation;

 Version 3.10 and later are supported. For older versions (2.x) the solution needs to be customized.

Installation

Wizard builds up data warehouse in SQL Server and deploys OLAP cubes in Analysis Services. Deploying is easy.

Customization

Solution can be easily customized. Users with basic SQL Server knowledge and Visual Studio experience can use BI4Dynamics NAV as a platform for more demanding BI projects. In administration module every measure and dimension can be modified to suite user's business language.

Localization

Solution is fully localized. BI4Dynamics NAV uses UNICODE character set for data warehouse and meta data model of OLAP cubes. Any language (have Chinese reference) can be supplied to data warehouse.
